WALDEN. LIVE FROM THE WOODS.

When Henry Thoreau was vlogging live from the Woods

Henry Thoreau was looking for an alternative way of living in society. He moved to the forest and described his experiences in the classic "Walden-Life in the Woods". We follow his longing, hand him a camera and say: do it again, Henry! Vlogg for us - “Life from the Woods.”

Originally designed as a stage experience, the team pull the project ideas in front of the camera and produced a web series. These were the very first days of Covid-19. From first brainstormings, to developing storylines and shooting with puppets and people - the team created 5 episodes of “Walden-Live from the Woods“ - remote and still together. A project between video conferences, virtual rehearsal rooms, interviews with experts and surprising forest facts.

This project is about isolation, voluntary as well as involuntary.
