Feeling connected. Wherever you are. Zürcher Olymp III.

October 2020. Isolation hit. Worldwide. How can we feel a connection, wherever we are? Weither in the forests of Finland, the parks of Berlin or on top of Üetliberg, the home of the Gods of Zürcher Olymp.

In her latest work for the mythology Zürcher Olymp, Roscha A. Säidow explores intimacy in Sound-Art and creates a Ritual, which celebrates togetherness while being seperated.

The Zürcher Olymp III is an interactive audio walk. Every participant listens to it on it’s own while taking a walk in the accessible nature. That can be a forest, a public park, a garden… The feeling of belonging will be created while listening to the stories of the Gods of Üetliberg. The Sound Art of the Audiowalk immerge and mingle with the sound surrounding the participant, realities start to interweave. You will discover layers of the mystic Üetliberg in your own surrounding and are invited to disconnect from the stress of your daily life. And connect with nature and your inner voice.

Let loose, follow the guidance and wander through nature as if you are part of the stories which are told to you. Breath in. And out. Look twice. At the environment surrounding you.

This Audiowalk is designed as an invitation: to connect with nature and your inner voice. It’s a product of an ongoing research about the powerful combination of nature / art / sounds and their positive impacts on mental health. Questions which were arising during the process are: What could be new forms of healing? What could be new ways of prevention?

Participants described this Audio Walk as a sort of cleanse. They could disconnect from their daily business and experience the moment, the nowness. 35 Minutes of Storytelling and guidance is followed by a 10 Minute guided Ritual of worship and togetherness.

THE RITUAL

The last part of the Audio Walk is a Ritual. You are invited to be part of a big community, your voice will be one of many voices and connection is made. To honour nature and the Gods of Üetliberg each participant is asked to over a little gift (- no plastics!). All the pictures of the gifts are collected and form another layer of worship to this piece of immersive art.

AUDIO WALK on request.
