PROMETHEUS!

A Puppet Dystopia

Would we dare in this day and age to invent something as unpredictable as humans? Prometheus hesitats when creating humans. Because he gets to look into the crystal ball…

In a dystopian vision of the future, we deal with fate, responsibility and the ambivalent forces of the human spirit. Five performers bring the vision of Prometheus to life. The legendary Caucasus rock lies in a belly, strange landscapes are trapped in tangled pipes and the people of the future seem far too lucky to be true.

"Well, it's not puppetry in the popular sense. It's more of a magical-poetic science fiction theater where the technology inspires our imagination.(...)The camera and projection technology used and how the equipment is used acoustically and optically deserves the greatest admiration. Both the puppets and the sophisticated use of video technology develop a suggestive fascination and create the dense aura of a dark fairytale.”
